Service of Healing and Wholeness

First Monday of the Month - St Anne’s Burlton - 7.30pm

This is a quiet reflective service where we pray for all those we know who are suffering in any way.

There is opportunity to be prayed for and anointed for yourself or for others you know, if you so wish (you don’t have to).

Those who attend regularly always comment on the peace and joy they receive just being there.

If you would like to come but need a lift or just someone to accompany you please contact Helen Lopez on 01939 233685 or Margaret Fox on 01939 233419>

Prayer Group

A small group meets every Thursday at 10.30 am for prayers at our House of Prayer which is Copperfields, Helen’s home (next to the pub).

We pray for each other, for the group of parishes, the households in the village, the various organisations that meet in the village hall, local businesses, the church and all those we know who are ill or suffering in any way.

Names added to the prayer board or emailed to us here will be collected and added to our list.

If you would like to join the group, (no experience or training needed) please contact Helen on 01939 233685 or Anne on 01948 710206

During the holiday period we may not meet every week so please check with one of us.

Loppington House Adult Training Centre

On the Third Tuesday of the month in term time the trainees come to church at 2 pm for a short service of songs, bible story and prayers.

Everyone is welcome to join in this service and those who are involved find that they always come away from it with a smile on their faces, the trainees are so beautiful in their simplicity.

Contact Helen on 01939 233685 for more information.

A Collection of Prayers

You may like to use this form of prayer, or part of it, or devise your own.

Lord, direct my thoughts,
Teach me to pray,
Lift my heart to worship you
In spirit and in truth,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from Evil.
For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,
For ever and ever,
Amen.

Almighty God, our heavenly father,
You promised through your son, Jesus Christ,
To hear us when we pray in faith

We pray for the world wide church,
May your Holy Spirit continually guide and inspire
It for your Glory:

We pray for peace in your world,
Direct all nations in the ways of justice and peace
That all your people may live in security and plenty.

We pray for our families and friends
And those we know who especially need your blessing ......
(speak the names of those you know)

We pray for our community
Especially today we ask your blessing for ......
(Speak of the groups of people you associate with)

Rejoicing in the fellowship of all your Saints,
We commend ourselves
and all creation to your unfailing love

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your son,
Our saviour, Jesus Christ
Amen.

Christ died for our sins
In accordance with the scriptures;
He was buried;
He was raised to life on the third day
In accordance with the scriptures;
Afterwards he appeared to his followers,
And to all the Apostles:
This we have received,
And this we believe.
Amen.

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with us all, evermore,
Amen.
