WEDDINGS

St Michael & All Angels is a lovely venue for your wedding, and a wonderful setting to affirm your love for each other before God and your family and friends.

The Church building is beautiful and can seat about 150 people, has a lovely pipe organ and 3 bells, has toilet facilities, is now well heated!

In 2010 the cost of a wedding at St Michael’s ranges from £450.50 (which includes the calling of the Banns, the Organist, the Rehearsal and the Service itself) to £558.50 if you wish to have bells, choir and are having the service videoed. Flowers are a separate item which we can give guidance about.

Legally you can be married in Loppington if you:

live in the parish

if you are on the church Electoral Roll

if you, your parents or grandparents can show a connection with the Church i.e. regularly worshipped in the past or were Baptised, Confirmed or Married at St Michael’s.

BAPTISMS

The birth of your child is very special and if you would like to come to Church and give thanks for the gift of your child we would be very pleased to arrange this in a service of Thanksgiving.

A Baptism Service (Christening) is a bit more than just a thanksgiving. In baptism you make promises, together with the Godparents, that your child will be brought up as a worshipping member of the Christian Church and taught the Christian faith – the beginning of their spiritual journey as part of God’s family. If you feel this is the right step for you as a family, then we would love to arrange a Baptism service for your child.

If you live in a different parish, then you should first get the permission of your own Vicar in your home parish. There is no charge for Baptisms, but there will be a collection during the service, and we hope that you and your family will support the on-going work of the church here by your gifts of thanksgiving.
